A Not So Morose Prose

The first three were from a gray day that was Thursday.

The next three was from yesterday.

I received an email on a petition yesterday morning to inform that saying “Jesus loves you” can actually be a ground for workplace harassment. Everyone already knows that things are definitely getting weirder each passing day.

If you constantly watch the mainstream media, they are reporting nothing but doom and gloom. For people who would rather squash the reality of Matthew 24 and the future events of the Book of Revelation, they sure are pushing their alarmist agenda. They sound more doom and gloom than the ones they accuse of pushing doom and gloom. Now that is something they are extremely good at finger-pointing.

I didn’t make the cats, only the blanket.

The last two is from today.

It’s been another stay-at-home day. It’s sweater weather which means it’s also fleece time and DIY time. The fleece fabric was 60% off and it became a perfect opportunity to make my daughter a fleece blanket/throw. If we can’t have real cats, a cat plushy is the next best thing. Two yards was used for the project.

Speaking of fleece, let’s read about Gideon. This happens to be one of my favorite historical accounts.

So Gideon said to God, “If You will save Israel by my hand as You have said— 37 look, I shall put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor; if there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that You will save Israel by my hand, as You have said.” 38 And it was so. When he rose early the next morning and squeezed the fleece together, he wrung the dew out of the fleece, a bowlful of water. 39 Then Gideon said to God, “Do not be angry with me, but let me speak just once more: Let me test, I pray, just once more with the fleece; let it now be dry only on the fleece, but on all the ground let there be dew.” 40 And God did so that night. It was dry on the fleece only, but there was dew on all the ground.”

Judges 6:36-40

Though God is exalted, He meets us where we’re at. When God gives a person a task, He understands our frail nature and feelings of inadequacy and as the passage shows, He honored Gideon’s request for confirmation.

What has God asked you to do lately?

Know that whatever it is He is asking of you, His Holy Spirit will enable you to accomplish it.

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10
