No gossip here. Just my 2 cents on two very public figures in the music industry. I grew up listening to Madonna (pre conversion of course) and I believe Lady Gaga definitely surpasses Madonna when it comes to vocals without a doubt, but I never was a fan of Gaga. I do agree that what I heard and seen of Lady Gaga’s work somehow reminds me of Madonna, in this day and age. The sad thing is, Madonna happens to be upstaged and overshadowed by her alleged “copycat.”
I no longer listen to secular music so I could care less about these two as far as that’s concerned. But, I can definitely say Lady Gaga took the high road by refraining to make an obvious and verbal political statement as opposed to Madonna’s epic statement of “choosing love” after having given an encouraging speech to unabombers that it’s perfectly justified to think about “blowing up the White House.”
So, as it turns out, Lady Gaga just made her statement that she is in fact better than Madonna even on this one and sad to say Miss Madge will always be known for her nasty speech. As an adage goes, “It’s not about how you start. It’s how you finish.”
Our walk with the Lord, in the beginning, is not as stable because of our lack of knowledge concerning His Word. What really counts if we make it to the finish by maturing in our walk with Jesus and not abandoning the faith.
Amen to that. Moreso for these public figures who literally have the platform to influence the populace. Thanks for introducing your spiritual input. Much appreciated.
I think that Madonna was so wrong in making such a statement. In an time where life is such a precious thing, you would think that she would choose her words more carefully. But this is just where we are as a society. However I personally feel this is a direct attack on our new President, or even maybe an encouragement. An attack because it follows Trump’s “Gun-Ho” style of firing off his mouth, something which I see has abated quite a bit. An encouragement because it encourages others not to be so reserved. This could possibly affect upcoming generations and indeed lead to a Sodom & Gomorrah effect.
I agree. It is sad most of what’s dubbed as “news” nowadays is pretty much something to incite and ignite people. I think Ashley Judd takes the cake. I mean to imply incest and talk about the president in a denigrating matter like that? Free Speech, okay but Wow. Only a twisted mind would cook something like that up. And the people cheer as if there were truth in her words when in fact, it is slander.
As for the Sodom & Gomorrah effect, I believe the Obama administration has cultivated such a climate. I mean look at how these liberals treat Milo. Won’t even let the man speak.
These “lovers of equality” practically are the epitome of what they claim to despise.
