Amigurumi, Teriyaki & Orange Skies

Hello there! I was teaching my daughter to crochet earlier today and this was a spur of the moment Amigurumi creature. I did not plan on creating one, but voilà! This covers the Amigurumi part. This ‘birthing person’ (mom) was determined to learn to make crochet dolls in 2011 after giving birth to a female offspring. I know, this may sound a bit sarcastic, but this politically correct newspeak pervasive in the mainstream media is getting out of hand. I don’t want to join in, but I wanted to stress how warped things are truly getting.

As we were having dinner (this is where the Teriyaki comes in), my husband was wondering whether the time of Noah got this bad where people deliberately did away with gender. That would be interesting to find out, but the fact that even Lot offered his daughters to be violated since the men wanted to violate the angels gives us a glimpse of how warped humanity truly was at that time (Genesis 19:1-11).

This was finished after dinner. I was thinking of a cat, but the head looks kind of like a Panda. Anyway, we all create things because we were modeled after the Creator.

My son said he wanted to take a picture of the sky and so that made me go outside. We were homebound today. For a closing, God’s majestic opalescent skies…

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.

Psalm 19:1

  1. Awwwwww. That crochet doll is SO CUTE! Because of the face it kinda reminds me a bit of like a Hello Kitty looking character, though your darling creature has a mouth instead of a nose. 😺

    1. Thanks Hope. You’re right. It does resemble it a bit. Seti actually suggested the W mouth.ヅ

  2. Of course. It’s really cute! I’ve never made something like that before, I don’t really know how to knit and sew, but hopefully someday I could learn. How long did it take to make the little doll? Making little plushie crafts looks like a lot of fun.

    1. I learned via a tutorial on youtube almost 10 years ago! Start with the Magic loop with the crochet. I did not get to do it continuously since I had to do a few things here so I was not keeping track of time.

  3. Ah, cool! YouTube basically has a tutorial/video on everything these days it seems, lol. 😂 Perhaps sometime I’ll stop by Hobby Lobby or something and see about getting some supplies—it’d be cool to get more hands on crafty. I primarily right now just write and draw, but have made crafts in the past, it’s just been a while. 😂
