Before I Met The Lord

We headed downtown to drop off my son to meet his friend. This vehicle was right in front of us and how very timely to see this the day before Resurrection Sunday. Freedom is very costly. Jesus Christ had to pay the price with His very life to save us from our wretched selves and the wrath that rightfully comes with it.

And wretched I was…

A quick glimpse of my old self

Today was the first time I have seen this footage in 23 years. I knew my skating friends did some kind of recording, but at the time, it never dawned on me to ask them about it. I’m not foreign to having people watch my every move and being applauded after completing a run. Being young, it gave me a sense of confidence. I was so immersed in skating and God was the farthest thing on my mind. This is just a facet, but my life took a nosedive after this. It is such a reminder of how meaningless life truly was without Him. I knew of Jesus since infancy through Catholicism, but my encounter with the Lord did not happen until I hit rock bottom at around age 21 after the Twin Towers fell.

Whatever it is you’re going through in life, He will meet you wherever you’re at just like He did for me. He came in this world for you.

“I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

Luke 5:32

“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:17

The world is being ushered to a new horrific normal (Revelation 13:16-18) and He wants to give you a way out. Enter through the narrow gate before it is too late.

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:6
