Cat, Cataclysm & Couture

Cat

This cute little thing has taken a liking to us and has been paying us a visit almost every day. It looks clean for a stray, but whenever it comes, we only allow it for a short stay since it starts to mess around with the stuff on the living room table.

Cataclysm

The world will always experience cataclysmic upheaval until the time of Jesus’ return. Whether you believe this to be so or not, what’s written will come to pass. Worrying about death that comes to pretty much all of us is pointless. I don’t have any photos for this, but there is ample evidence in the world we are living in. There is however, a very stern warning for those who disregard the future events that will come upon the whole world in the Book of Revelation. Professing Christians who push that they are all merely allegorical are setting themselves up against what Jesus Christ Himself said (Rev. 22 v.19),

“The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”

7 “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”

Revelation 22:6-7 NIV

Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near. 11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.

Revelation 22:10-11 NIV

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.”

Revelation 22: 18-19 NIV

Consider the passages above to really think about when it comes to theology that is dismissive of end-time Bible prophecy especially when people claim to be followers of Jesus Christ.

Couture

This is french for sewing and I’ve gotten busy since the last week of Sewing month (September). I had some fabric stash (some from a few years back) that I’ve been putting off from sewing and since time is running out, there’s no better time to execute them than now. Since then, I finished seven garments (3 dresses, 3 sweaters and 1 top).

2 of these. One in this blackwatch pattern and in Navy. Ribbon detail on back
Ruffled at front

Chloe trying on a fleece sweater before the bottom hem was finished with twin-needle topstitching.

This camel fleece sweater is just like the one my daughter is wearing.

This mock neck sweater is an embodiment of all things fall cut in an a-line.

And with the scraps, vests for the amies. I have a bad habit of disappearing from the blog when I do projects. I didn’t mean to disappear!
