Chocolate Cake

Doesn’t everything taste good when it’s coated in sugar? This cake was so moist and delicious! On the way home, everyone was talking about the expression, “You can’t have your cake and eat it too.” My kids were curious of its origin. If you wish to always have the cake, you can’t eat it. The very moment you eat it, it’s no more. The very concept is one and the same as Matthew 6:24,

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

You are presented with two choices. There is no middle ground. You only get to pick one.

My husband has perfected his marble waffles. This happened to be today’s breakfast. This is one of those instances where you can actually have multiple choices. You can eat the waffles with or without syrup. Either way, it tastes good.

“In the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death.”

Proverbs 12:28

“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live”

Deuteronomy 30:19
