Christian, Mind Your Own Business!!!

Envy… For something immaterial, it sure is ugly.

There will always be someone better than ourselves. It’s true.
Then there’s people who look like they got it all together. But are we really seeing the whole picture?

“I wish I were (insert the person’s name here).”
When we think this way, do we even really know what we’re wishing for?
You’d never know that same person you’re wishing to be happens to wish to be someone else.

It’s just one plain ugly cycle; A cycle that will keep on going until you deliberately say, “ENOUGH!”

We are called to serve to the best of our ability and God gifted us in different degrees and for whatever purpose He designed, in His sovereignty, He sees the task accomplished possibly only by you! You may think you’re lacking, but that same feeling of inadequacy is more relatable for most people than coming from someone whom you think is better than you.

“Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men…”
Colossians 3:23

Now why would we be envious over someone who’s doing their best for God?

The moment we look at how other people seem to be doing it much better than ourselves, we lose sight of the goal. Our ultimate goal is to please an audience of One.

When all is said and done at the Judgment seat of Christ, don’t you really just want to hear God tell you, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” ?
