Colorful Appearances

This is another exposé. I am dreading to do this because the person could be genuine in her intent to promote Jesus Christ, but genuinely deceived. At times, I could be too direct and I have asked the Lord to help me improve in this area. I first encountered Jackie at some other blogger’s site who believes that the present day Israel is not the same as the biblical Israel. I asked what her beliefs were about who she thought were the true Israelites and below is what she believes.

Abram, referred as Abram the Hebrew (Genesis 14:13) became Abraham (Genesis 17:5) was the father of Isaac, who was the father of Jacob.

“And God said to him, “Your name is Jacob; you will no longer be called Jacob, but your name will be Israel.” So God named him Israel.”

Genesis 35:10

The Jews descended from Shem, Noah’s son, making them Semites. Hatred towards the Jews is what we all know today as antisemitism. Jackie claims that Mordecai and Esther were not Jews. What she believes is contradictory to what is clearly revealed in the Book of Esther. Benjamin is one of Jacob’s twelve sons. Any person who is a descendant of Jacob/Israel is an Israelite, a Jew. She states they were all Israelites, but doesn’t believe they were Jews.

This next snippet is what contains the most stunning assertion, the one highlighted in the box.

Her emphasis that “Lord Jesus, was NOT a Jew” is alarming. I am most curious about her other doctrine.

If you have not read John 4, I would suggest to read the whole chapter, but to counter her statement, let’s look at some of the verses below from that chapter,

verse 9:The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)”

verse 19: “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.

verse 25: The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”

verse 26:  Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.

She also emphasizes here that the apostle Paul was not a Jew. Another statement that contradicts the verses below regarding Paul’s own admission of his identity.

“I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city. I studied under Gamaliel and was thoroughly trained in the law of our ancestors. I was just as zealous for God as any of you are today. – Acts 22:3

“circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee;” – Philippians 3:5

There are a lot of people who write falsehood here in WP. It does not matter if they claim to be Christian. This one may seem harmless, but if she truly believes Jesus is not a Jew, she is talking about a completely different Jesus.

“So then, by their fruit you will recognize them.
21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

Matthew 7:20-21

Be on guard of deceivers.

  1. […] When we think that Jesus Christ was a Jew, we better think again […]

    1. Jackie, stick to the Word of God. Read John 4 in its entirety. I read it in your preferred KJV and it says that Jesus is a Jew in verse 9. You need to stop getting your beliefs from questionable sources. Forwarding erroneous doctrine and doubling down on it without repentance is a grave mistake.

  2. When I read Jesus was not a Jew by Jackie I immediately thought of the passage you have posted of the samaritan woman who clearly says to Jesus (HE is a Jew). It is impossible to twist that passage or see it other than how it reads. After all is said and done though all this hatred of the Jews means nothing to God for in the body of Christ there is no divisions and the following passage teaches we must not get stuck on Jews, Black lives matter movement as God does not see colors of skin. All this talk is the hatred in peoples hearts. God looks on the heart and does not see as we do!!!! ( 1 Samuel 16:7).

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:11-13).
We must stop putting difference between us and look to the unity Christ is looking for! Have a Blessed day.

Hello Julia. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I would warn to scrutinize Jackie’s doctrine because like what you have stated, the text is clear.

“After all is said and done though all this hatred of the Jews means nothing to God for in the body of Christ there is no divisions and the following passage teaches we must not get stuck on Jews, Black lives matter movement as God does not see colors of skin. Hatred towards the Jews and BLM is pretty much the fulfillment of what Jesus termed as the beginning of sorrows in Matthew 24:7-8.
      Matthew 24:7
Antisemitism will play a role in the Jewish aliyah (move to Israel) just like it did during WWII. This also ties to the fulfillment of God’s promise to the Jews in Ezekiel 11:17, “Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.”

What Jackie promotes over at her site is dangerous and unbiblical and could incite other Christians with hatred towards the Jews. Sadly, it is a widespread movement especially from those who already adhere to Replacement Theology.

I agree with what you said to aim for unity, but when you see someone promote doctrine contrary to what is revealed, it is every Christian’s duty to correct and rebuke (2 Timothy 4:2).

I appreciate you taking the time to comment and may the LORD bless you.

      1. Caeli….I wholeheartedly agree with all you have said here. Israel is Gods inheritance! I also agree with your passage of 2 Timothy4:2 and would never agree with the unity of wrong teaching. Jackie needs to get her information right and stop leading people out of the way with false teachings. Be Blessed and stay strong in Hm.
