DIY Chopstick Birdhouse Feeder

It’s time for DIY! I haven’t made a project in awhile so I went to the Dollar Tree and initially grabbed only the craft dowels, wooden pallet and a wooden pen holder. I had no idea how it was going to turn out except that I was intent on cutting out a door.

The only tool used on this was an X-Acto knife to cut out the entry way on both sides. Aside from the three wooden components, I decided to stack a mini bird feeder on top of the pen holder and used the base of the feeder to seal off the open end of the pen holder. A little trim was superglued to add a pop of color.

I have no idea what type of bird will decide to visit. Probably a small finch like this one?

I still have not decided whether to make this thing hang or build a tripod stand or maybe just set this thing on top of a bush?

I hear the joyful sounds of birds outside.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

Philippians 4:4-8
