We have pulled the plug on our Netflix subscription just recently and we probably weren’t the only ones. It has become quite aggressive in promoting anti-Christian sentiments with the blasphemous offering they had on a homosexual Jesus. I did not watch the whole thing but I have seen enough of it and it was offensive. We have a few days remaining on Netflix and they released a new series about a false messiah. My husband and I are close to finishing it but here is the message they included uttered by a ‘Muslim’ charlatan who is posing to be the messiah, “Returning to your scripture will not save you. Bending to your knees will not please anyone. That time has passed. This time is now.” This egregious spirit of the anti-Christ message is clearly telling people to disregard Scripture, prayers are useless and will no longer be applicable in this day and age.

The most sad thing about this series is the so-called Christian pastor who is leading his flock blindly. This character was about to burn his church building down prior to meeting the false messiah. We would assume at least a pastor would know and heed to Jesus’ admonition in Luke 21,

“8 And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them. 9 But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.”

Verse 9 is timely given the recent turn of events with Iran.

And its parallel in Matthew 24,

“23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.
26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.”

What kind of pastor would follow a false messiah? A false one, the one described by Jesus in Matthew 7:22-23. Sadly, the show also depicted a black congregation rejoicing over the fact that “Jesus” has returned. The Word of God warns us ahead of time in Matthew 24:25, “See, I have told you beforehand” that none of us may be deceived.

Every day is a day closer to the Lord’s return and it’s all too evident because of the events the whole world is facing. What’s interesting is that the world in its hostility to religion continue to validate what they want to disprove. The mocking and devising of plots to cater itching ears is proof that we are living in such a time.

  1. Wow! Just wow! Just when a person thinks it can’t get any worse! I tell people all the time we haven’t seen nothing yet!

  2. What we are seeing is nothing compared to the deception that is coming. It will be accompanied by signs and wonders, so powerful, that those whose names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will believe it and be led astray.

This was s a great post! I shared with my kids that I know have Netflix!

      1. Netflix has a vast array of genres but as of late, their anti-Christian propaganda is too blatant. They released a report on their increased subscribers overseas after the Christian backlash, in a matter of speaking that they could care less about the Christians who unsubscribed. Netflix may be big now, but like Blockbuster, it will be replaced in due time.

  3. I don’t watch too many of these spiritual movies myself. For me the most spiritual tv I watch is The Hallmark Channel during Christmas. I think that many Christians are just being turned off by everything that Hollywood has to offer.

    1. “I think that many Christians are just being turned off by everything that Hollywood has to offer.”

I have seen worse but to continue paying Netflix and contribute to their success in producing more content that is both subversive and offensive to my faith is a bother of conscience. We should have left Neftlix a long time ago but then again, I don’t regret seeing the other so-called “Christian” offerings to see and expose the subliminal messaging behind them. I left out a significantly laughable portion of this series… Their choice and trusted news source is CNN.
