“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.”
Matthew 7:6 NIV
There is clearly a difference between a dog that roams around without an owner and a pet. The former eats anything it can find, while the latter is fed with care.
“Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank. 6 One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”
7 The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”
8 I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”
9 He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.“
Daniel 12:5-10 NIV
In verse 6, Daniel asks a question and got an immediate answer in verse 7. Being a wise man that he was, there were things that was not meant for him to know, “I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?” 9 He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. “
We run into grave error when we look for answers apart from God’s Word which already contain what He wanted us to know especially when it comes to End Time prophecy. If Jesus Christ is your Lord and Master, His testimony from Genesis to Revelation should be enough. Only a stray dog eats from the garbage.
“Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.”
