Life In Limbo

Yesterday was my son’s birthday. We have been looking for a place to move to in UT since we got back and so far, nada. As of this moment, our life is pretty much in limbo. Uncertainty happens to everyone and everyone happens to hate it.

My daughter’s favorite bug. Does anyone know what these plants are called?

I’m thinking wheat, but I’m not sure.

We decided not to wallow in more uncertainty by heading to Willamette Mission State Park. We brought Pizza with us and sat at the picnic table.

I was still eating when this Red-headed Woodpecker showed up. I didn’t bring my glasses so I had to squint to locate this thing. I wish this was at least a side profile, but I’m happy with whatever I can get.

The robin never fails. I see this bird all the time, but I don’t mind since rust orange happens to be one of my favorite colors.

This place is a gem. It is somewhat sad my family always ends up finding places just before we leave a place. The same thing happened when we were leaving FL. Just several months prior to moving here, we discovered Clermont near Orlando. We didn’t get to frequent there.

This is my favorite picture out of today, white flowers kissed by the sun.

As we were leaving the park, a very pronounced rainbow showed up. This wasn’t the only rainbow we saw today. We passed through people waving rainbow flags at a street corner on our way to the park. They were jolly and jubilant, but if something considered abominable is to be celebrated, they should have made something else the symbol of their PRIDE rather than borrow it from God whom they clearly defy with their raised fists.

I read a blog post from a couple of homosexual bloggers who wrote that they were not allowed into the church. I don’t know which church they attended, but to my knowledge, I have not yet seen any church that has a sign that strictly forbids homosexuals to step inside. Have you? Flawed people go to church. None of us have to announce our sins and no one is mandated to state our preferred sexual partners whenever we go inside. My hope is that they have not fabricated their account as an incitement against people of faith.

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”

John 3:17-18
