Looking Out

If you believe in God, you will surrender to His will. Some people might see this as throwing the towel, but it isn’t. Believers still think He holds the future and in His sovereignty is where hope springs instead of fear (Joshua 1:9, 2 Timothy 1:7).

Son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my hand against it to cut off its food supply and send famine upon it and kill its people and their animals, 14 even if these three men—Noah, Daniel and Job—were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

Ezekiel 14:13-14 NIV

Every single person is going through course correction, but this passage tells us that each person is answerable to their own deedsin this case, righteousness since it is the only thing that saves one from destruction. There is no sugarcoating the fact of the time and season we find ourselves in. The events happening is the fruition of what has long been written regardless of one’s acknowledgement.

You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

Revelation 3:17-20 NIV

so you can cover your shameful nakedness – Nakedness has everything to do with sin. The only way to be covered is by accepting the finished work of Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:26-27). Do not shut yourself to the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

If you have not fully committed yourself to Jesus yet, I really do hope you get there soon. Now is the time to consider the truth which can only be found in God’s Word.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

John 3:17 NIV
