It’s interesting how ALL of us have been programmed not to walk outside with mismatched shoes. Some time ago, someone considered influential tried to make mismatched shoes a trend. People can only try to make things fashionable, but not everyone will be open to the idea. It’s the same thing with the PRIDE agenda that is pervasive nowadays. People want to normalize something that isn’t, like indoctrinating the kids to be sexual before they are even sexually active. The problem though is that they are coercing everyone to be on board by making new laws.
If people everywhere said this is the “new black,” would you personally go around with mismatched shoes? As a matter of fact, if you walked outside like this, you are guaranteed to have people look at you in a negative light. No one can ignore the incongruity of mismatched shoes in the physical. In the spiritual however, it’s easy to walk with mismatched shoes all the time. We do this when we claim to be Christians and be on board with a gospel that is contrary to our faith. Shoes are a symbol for the gospel,
“and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace.”
Ephesians 6:15
It’s called a gospel of peace because true peace can only be attained through a relationship with Jesus Christ (John 14:27, Philippians 4:7, John 16:33). You can have a semblance of peace apart from Christ, but it will not be a lasting one.
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Acts 4:12
If you profess to be Christian and happen to think there are alternate ways to heaven or adhere to a way of living that conflicts with what is pleasing to God, you are walking in mismatched shoes. You claim to walk in His footsteps, but reject His revelation that He is the only way (John 14:6).
It’s easy to turn a bright color to black. To convert something from black to color however, is a laborious process. You first have to bleach it to remove the darkness so that it can take on the new color.
“And if anyone will not welcome you or heed your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.”
Matthew 10:14
As Christians, we tell people the good news. I blog fully exercising my right to free speech as do everyone on this platform. I can only hope that some are receptive to the gospel.

Amen! So far I have not tried walking outside with a mismatched pair in my entire life literally ヅ. It’s a different story when it comes to contrasting clothes. For some reason, the shoes always have to match.

I haven’t worn mismatched shoes however as a child of the 80s I did wear mismatched socks. I’m. Y mother’s child so for the most part shoes and purse have to match. So thankful for your boldness to call out error!

Some people have done it to make a statement, but even so, majority of the world population will never adopt it as the norm.
