This Varied Thrush just started coming to the backyard. They left as soon as they came. Glad that today, a male and female stayed long enough. I’ve never seen them around here until yesterday, but this is the second of this kind that I spotted since this Autumn.

The first one that came here was the Swainson’s Thrush (below) earlier last month.

It’s good to see new birds come by to eat the seeds scattered in the backyard. It seems they are hungrier this year. It’s laid out for them and they never really have to dig. Some are so used to work for it that they bypass the food that’s already there. Hopefully, the newcomers will stop by more often along with the ones that frequently visit — the Chickadees,

the Dark-eyed Juncos,

and Robins.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:6 NKJV

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Matthew 11:28-29 NKJV
