No Jolly Holly

The consequence of this planet’s fallen state exempts no one. Bad things happen to peopleall kinds of peoplewhether good or bad. Bad things happen to good people to test where their faith lies. Then there are those who sincerely believe they have faith until the severity of a trial shook them off their perceived secure position, the kind that makes for one’s faith to be deconstructed.

There is an appointed time for God’s wrath on humanity. We are told exactly when this is to happen. It will peak in the latter half of the reign of the coming Antichrist (Matthew 24:15-22). As for what the world is experiencing now, it is considered labor pains,

“We know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until the present time.”

Romans 8:22

It is not necessarily God’s wrath when people find themselves being in the middle of destruction through natural disasters, some of which are caused by people. There are landslides and severe flooding that happen because of deforestation and some extreme weather events happen as a result of human inventions that deal with weather manipulation. People will normally assert the good that is achieved by their inventions and have the propensity to minimize the bad effects. Humanity would not come up with the term “unforeseen circumstances” if we have the ability to foresee every single thing/outcome. This is the human limitation. However, this limitation does not stop some people from thinking they can play God, down to the very decision of who gets to live or die in some cases.

Another scenario at play is when people heap wrath on themselves. We are subject to our choices. When a country chooses to abandon God, He gives them over to their devices. This scenario is God giving people exactly what they think they want. When people are asking to do away with law enforcement, naturally there will be chaos and lawlessness. When you have a world that is given to godlessness, the world belongs to the wicked one and his reign of wickedness. When people usher in a man they knew promoted things that go against God, it is nothing short of being in a dream that things will turn out for good. It is sad though, that we’re all experiencing the reality of a dream world manifesting into a despotic nightmare that is ongoing.

The Word of God gives us a lot of warnings…

Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing…

You will know them by their fruit…

Do not be deceived…

Let no one deceive you with empty words…

Speaking of fruit, we can only expect nothing but wicked fruit coming from those who appear to be good on the outside. We are seeing this actively manifest from those who claim to be for God, but do absolutely nothing when they are put to the test. Frankly, it would be worse for the unjust judges. What woe it is that people look to them to promote justice only to be denied.

“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness.”

Romans 1:18

For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”

John 3:17-18

If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, your own righteousness will not save you and God’s wrath still rests on you. This sure sounds prickly, but something that simply cannot be sugarcoated. If you have come to know a Christianity synonymous of a life laden with prosperity and happiness, they are only giving you half of the story. I suppose the prosperity folks completely forgot about carrying their cross, the only crucial part that marks a genuine follower of Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:24-25).
