On Borrowed Time

The election of Trump may feel like a reprieve for some, myself included (and even for some Europeans) but I am taking heed more of what the Bible warns believers about living in the last days. Christian persecution is on the rise and we had 8 years of the massive reconstruction of the United States to thank for this due to leftist policies and the dissemination of Islamic propaganda to further Islam, the enemy’s prime tool to deal with both Jews (God’s chosen people) and Christians (God’s adopted sons and daughters.)

We must remember our hope should be in GOD alone, not on any leader. When people put their hope in man, we will always end up being disappointed. It is true God deposes and appoints rulers (sad to say that includes Obama too), but we have to keep in mind God allowed for these rulers to accomplish His plan, just as He allowed Hitler in power so that the Jews would return to their homeland to re-establish Israel (Jeremiah 16:15, Jeremiah 30:3, Ezekiel 37:12-14) a clear fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

There is such a thing as a probationary period where God withholds His judgment as exemplified in Genesis 15:16, “for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.” I am of one mind with those Christians who believe God is giving America a chance to change its course before He brings judgment. Last year’s redefinition of marriage is an indicator that we may have reached the tipping point, “as it was in the days of Lot,” a clear indicator of the social climate the last days will resemble (Luke 17:26-30.)

While there is still a wall of evangelical Christians here in America making a stand for the things of God, we are getting full frontal attacks to weaken the wall through false doctrine, an attack on the family, and our own liberties when it comes to our religious convictions and most specially political correctness where truth is no longer tolerated. Christians are being attacked from the left and the right, and in our sick society, the blame lies on its victims.

Let’s look at Islamic people in particular (mainly because the Migrant Crisis is comprised mostly of Muslim refugees,) they impose their own laws and do not assimilate to the laws and customs of their host country, to the point that long held traditions are done away with to accommodate & appease the growing minority so as not to “offend” them. They can easily point their fingers on the people who refuse to bend over to cater to them as bigots while they get away with their own bigotry.

Are we truly just a bunch of “ists” (as in racists) and “ics” (as in Xenophobic, Islamophobic and whatever ic “they” can think of)? I think not. They can call us names, but we know those labels are nothing but intimidation tactics not coming from the people who call us that, who happens to merely be doing the enemy’s bidding, but they are straight from the accuser of the brethren (Revelation 12:10.)

Christian, if you think you can sit back and relax, don’t. Stand up, Speak up and be at the ready because our Bible tells us things will only get worse.

“Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you,  for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.  You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.”
