Perennial Pursuit

A quick visit to the Garden Center in search for a perennial Chrysanthemum plant turned out to be a macro opportunity.

Unfortunately, they did not have the cultivar I was looking for. I’m not sure if it’s the seemingly on-demand hail and prolonged cold weather that messed up my Chrysanthemum plants which graced the backyard for half a decade or the fact that I may have pruned it too late. It looks grim as of now, but as I dug up the roots earlier, I saw a glimmer of green. Hopefully, it will survive the harsh elements as it did the previous years and replacing them won’t be necessary at all.

I ended up with this cute little fruit-bearing plant instead.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.”
