Pipin’ Hot Turkey

It’s almost the middle of February and we are months and months away from Thanksgiving. However, that is not going to stop me from using a Thanksgiving turkey as an illustration.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at this turkey?

Mmmmm!!! That would be heavenly with mashed potatoes and a lot of gravy. I definitely want to get a piece of that. But hold right there.

Food, no matter how appetizing it looks, would you still consider eating it if someone informed you that what you’re about to savor has been injected with poison?

Pope Francis made history being the first pope to visit an Arab country to lay the groundwork for coexistence. This “noble” goal is one that looks to usher utopia, a world where everyone can live in peace, love and harmony- everything the world could only dream and happily oblige to take part of.

The Word of God shows us a different scenario,

“While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.”

1 Thessalonians 5:3

If indeed the coming peace were a lasting one that aims to guarantee the dignity of all mankind, why does Revelation 13 show us a picture of subjugation?

“If anyone is to go into captivity,
into captivity they will go.
If anyone is to be killed with the sword,
with the sword they will be killed.”

Events never before seen in history are unfolding right before us- the push for the unification of countries without borders, the push for one world currency, the move to unite ALL religions no matter how opposed they are, orchestrated by the head who sits in Rome who also happens to sit on many waters with its 1.2 billion adherents worldwide- the seeming equivalent of Babel’s dream to unite under one roof ascending to soaring heights (Genesis 11:1-9), the prominence of various ideologies and actions with a common underlying agenda of curbing the population – Abortion, Anti-natalism, Environmentalism (the world is becoming so overpopulated the solution is to stop having babies), Homosexuality and gender fluidity that blocks the continuity of the human race, which would fulfill the prophecy of Israel acknowledging Jesus as their messiah which does not happen until the population of gentiles to be saved reaches its fullness (Romans 11:25b); If the world is set on putting a limit on how many people should inhabit the earth, that means there would be less and less people to reach for the gospel and couple this with the overwhelming flow of competing “Doctrines of Demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). With everything mentioned, we are at the door.

If you have been convinced of persuasive arguments regarding eschatology where prophecy is reduced to mere symbolism and deeply buried in the annals of history and completely done with, can you honestly deny the evidence unfolding right before you without a shadow of a doubt?

You may be one of those who scoff and say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised?” (2 Peter 3:4) If you must know, the delay is to give the scoffer some time to come to the knowledge of the truth. God is that patient with everyone! (2 Peter 3:8-9)

Knowing what you know, will you still choose to eat the scrumptious pipin’ hot turkey with the poison?
