Radiance

He speaks loudly inaudibly. Every photograph you take of nature screams intricate details cannot come about without careful thought. If there’s perfection in chaos, we’re ignoring the fact that disorder will not result to order unless someone acts on it. No one tells you to “Get your life in disorder” as the doctor gives you a dire prognosis on how long you have left to live.

We always aspire order in our lives. Anarchists, more like organized agitators, appreciate it when the authorities side with them (like in Portland and Seattle for instance). It is funny how even with their disdain for authority, they can never escape the ‘order’ of things. Someone has to be an authority to enforce order whether we like it or not. Of course no one in their right mind would like to live in a world where our safety depends on those who think they can walk into your property and take and break things that do not belong to them.

The shade of yellow is a constant reminder of the glory of God. When there is light, it dispels darkness. Where the radiance of God is, darkness has no place (John 3:20).

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”

Hebrews 1:3

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. “In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.”

“These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”

1 Peter 1:7

Calla lilies, one of my favorite flowers next to sunflowers. Don’t they look like trumpets? Speaking of trumpets, as believers, we’re supposed to sound the trumpets of the Lord’s soon return. No one forces people to believe. Consider it simply as a sign that warns of a dangerous and strong undertow. As a little girl, I was caught in one and almost drowned. I don’t remember having read any warning signs. It’s interesting hardly anyone considers Undertow signs offensive. People easily accept its validity even though they haven’t gone in the water. You have the choice to either heed it or ignore it. It’s the same concept when it comes to salvation. You can’t say you haven’t been warned, but you are taking a gamble with the most precious aspect of yourself, your soul.

The radiance and cheerfulness of the sunflower… Who can deny it? You are called to be a Son follower.

“ Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, ⁹ for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

1 Peter 1:8-9
