Reality Check

We can’t do reality checks once we face our final curtain in this earthly tent. Some go in their sleep and some decide to take matter into their own hands. Prior to making this post, I read what made its way on today’s news about someone jumping off a bridge. We simply walk into a new reality with extreme clarity on our final destination. It’s not all dependent on what we do, but in whom we put our faith in; With this faith comes the practice which becomes the proof that spiritual renewal has indeed taken place.

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”

Romans 8:5-8

But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him”

Colossians 3:8-10

God works in a way that shows us the good and bad and this is why He left us with the Bible so that in everything we do, we may make informed decisions. The adversary only gives you the feel good vibes and withholds the truth.

And this, would be the nightmare…

I Never Knew You

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

Matthew 7:21

You don’t have to live in this nightmare, to be told by the Lord Himself that He never knew you. The Lord loves you, is full of mercy and pleads with you using His servants. You can choose to put an end to this on this very day.

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

James 1:22

  1. “I Never Knew You”

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

That is a scary thought when Jesus tells you that he never had a relationship with you. I think that self-deception is one of the deadliest deceptions out there.

    1. That’s why this post is entitled Reality Check!
