Scenes Of Yesterday

“Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

John 3:20

Everything can be hidden in a jungle, from carrion and poison snakes, all the way to dead men’s bones. Cover-ups only happen when the truth is far from what they want people to see.

However, Light uncovers everything down to the fine details of a subject.

The Light also enlivens even the dying.

I sought out birds, but what I found was this cat basking under the sun, out in the open.

“But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.”

  1. Awwwww, what a gorgeous little kitty! I’m glad it wasn’t too skittish for you to get on video, because I know some can be terrified of the camera. 😺

    1. He sure is! I was pretty far from it. I had the zoom extended at max and at that, any slight move makes it shaky. It sure was a treat!

  2. It was nice you found an unexpected kitty, cats are wonderful creatures. I have 3 at home. 🙂

    1. Really? Chloe would go crazy if she ever saw them! The place does not allow us to have them unfortunately so we’re blessed when the neighbor’s cat crosses over the fence or when we visit a cat adoption place.

  3. I remember when the mall used to have Kitten Kaboodle (cat adoption place) around the holidays, but I haven’t seen it there for a very long time. They always had the cutest little kitties.
What if you had an outdoor cat? We technically have a fourth named Snickerdoodle that has been with us for about 5(?) years, but it lives outside and is skittish, only letting us feed it.
If you were to get a kitty, would the place allow it outdoors only?
    Just a thought. 🙂

    1. An outdoor cat sounds like a good idea. The weather here is pretty bad when it rains nonstop. Looks like your 4th Snickerdoodle knows exactly where to go during cold and rainy days.

  4. Yeah, he has a shelter on our downstairs deck but also likes to wander outside of our yard. I’m sure if you were to get an outdoor cat sometime, if you had a cozy shelter it’d settle right in. Gotta love Oregon rain!
