This never-ending rain
Warrants the same sad refrain
It does something to one’s brain
With thoughts too much to restrain
This constant gray
Puts me in a fray
And so I pray
For a brighter day
“For You have been a strength to the poor, A strength to the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, A shade from the heat; For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.”
Isaiah 25:4
“I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and storm.”
Psalm 55:8
I love the rain! Especially here in the desert where we hardly get any, but when we do get it..we get it!
Oregon is blessed with so much rain. It makes things evergreen, but it also comes with too much gray. Four years in and I think I’m getting used to it. The frequency still affects me at times.
There are two colour pallets – Green and Grey, or Blue and Brown. In Alberta, where I used to live it was often the latter, now in the UK it is the former. I understand all about grey in winter! But at least it’s still green too 🙂
