Slow Progress

Drats! The hand-crank knitting machine malfunctioned and so this thing is going to take longer than expected. The sun came out yesterday, but I was waiting for something. It came when the sun was nearly down so I decided to start working on this. I initially wanted to make a knitted pink sweater top for this amie, but it looks like this is going to be crochet all the way. My daughter thinks it looks creepy as of the moment. Everything that is unfinished doesn’t look good. As for people, everything looks ugly whenever we come undone, but that’s just it—while we are in the flesh, we are all unfinished business, awaiting for a body that death, destruction and decay has no dominion over,

For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

2 Corinthians 5:4-5 NIV

If you’re wondering “what is to come,

I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

1 Corinthians 15:50-53 NIV

It is only when we are in our imperishable bodies that Christ’s perfected work will fully manifest in us. As for now, we can only get a glimpse of His work through the slow process (like it takes years for some trees to bear fruit) of sanctification in a believer.

It’s been good to hear of some countries’ about-face on the hocus poke mandates and what makes it more curious is that it’s coming from those who push Build Back Better. Come to think of it, breaking the system is necessary so people can actually see them work their pitch. While Australia and New Zealand are adopting communist style policies, the takeover on this side of the world has been somewhat slower compared to those two countries, though the process of transformation is happening via slow but sure indoctrination through the domination of leftist ideology in schools (some even have after school Satanism).

As for Christendom, apostasy is happening not just with “Christian” artists/entertainers. The worst kind is a cloaked one of pastors who have abandoned the faith, but refuse to step down because it is their source of income.

It is when everything seems to be winding down (with the mandates) that we must keep our eyes open.
