Deliverance ministers are popping up out of the blue without these new converts being accountable to elders who could point them to sound biblical doctrine. Genuine new believers truly have the desire to pass on what Jesus has done for them, but since they are not deeply rooted in the faith yet, they can easily be vessels of promoting heretical teachings.
Commemorating Jesus’ resurrection only happens for one day of the year, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Its implication happens to be part of our blessed hope as believers–to live in eternity with the lover of our souls who bought us with His very life. As this country’s leaders choose to blatantly shake their fists at God instead of remembering that the Savior of the world rose from the dead, their act is definitely another reason to really start looking up.
