That Dreaded Place

When we talk about imagination, it is common knowledge something is made up. Speaking of imagining, let’s examine the first few words of the song, “Imagine”

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky

I’m not going to go any further because I would then be promoting the anthem for the new world order. When someone says to you, “It’s only a figment of your imagination,” it is to disregard an idea. Well, in this case, the songwriter is acknowledging the existence of heaven and hell because he is asking the listener to pretend neither heaven nor hell exists.

According to God’s Word, Heaven does exist and so does hell. Ooooh! That’s too taboo! I just said it. HELL. I used to be scared at the thought of this word, but not anymore. Jesus paid the price with His life to ensure that none of us would have to go down there. It really wasn’t meant for us in the first place.

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

Matthew 25:41

But why do people go there? People end up there because like Satan, they are puffed up with pride. Whenever people are prideful, they mirror Satan. When they refuse God’s mercy, they have made their choice and God respects choice (John 6:28-29).

What about heaven?

“Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more deathor mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

Revelation 21:1-5

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” – He’s not man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19).

“I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'”

Isaiah 46:10

“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

John 17:3

While there’s time, you can opt out of hell. And the good news? The one-way ticket to heaven is free! You just have to claim it.

  1. Imagine no one to kill or die for …

An end to religious cleansing and martyrs. The song has a point. Not long ago some Christians were pretty mean because in their book, they’re right and I’m the enemy and have it coming.

    1. “Imagine no one to kill or die for …”

Again, the song is asking the listeners to deny reality. It sounds noble, no doubt about it, but think about the irreligious regimes which actually carried out the genocide of people of faith. Please take the time to compare the numbers objectively. People have been so convinced religion is the problem when it is really the other way around. It is ignoring God’s morality that drive people to do evil things.

“Not long ago some Christians were pretty mean because in their book, they’re right and I’m the enemy and have it coming.”

Are you talking about centuries-old events? What oppression are you currently experiencing from Christians right now personally? If you are not currently being persecuted by Christians, it is time to release that preconceived notion about Christianity because in OUR time, Christians are the ones being slaughtered.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Evalyn.

      1. On which news report was that? Are Christians in Idaho starving? Are West Virginians being round up and shot? I see no evidence of Christians being slaughtered by non-believers or memberd of other religions in my country.

      2. You have not answered my question about your personal oppression story committed by Christians towards you.

I am talking about a global scale here, North Korea, China, Cambodia, etc. not local. Try to look at the numbers of casualties from “religious” killings in the past century alone and compare it to the body count of killings done by irreligious regimes.

      3. Religion is the primary factor? Would group a still kill group b if both groups were non-religious?

      4. If you are going to dodge my question, why should I answer you?

      5. Just trying to understand what the facts are. Let’s say the Smiths and the Millers are blood enemies and wouldn’t be caught in the same religion. You could say them having a fistfight was a religious conflict, but in reality it goes deeper.
Just some bloggers who felt they could be overly critical. Would you believe me if I told you that you once referred to me as a wolf? It was ages ago so you might not recall.

      6. Again, putting the burden on me as you dodge my question.

“Would you believe me if I told you that you once referred to me as a wolf? It was ages ago so you might not recall.”

Give me the proof. You could be experiencing Mandela effect for all I know.

      7. The picture in your post was that of a dead lamb. The exact date and title escapes me.

      8. I am asking for the solid proof on this wolf accusation on your end. I do not have a comment from you on that particular post and frankly, I do not remember talking to you at all so please, present me with your proof that I actually called you that.

      9. Looking for a needle in a haystack of needles isn’t easy you have no search functionality and without it’s name I can’t find it. As I said ages ago and scrolling backwards through two or three years of posts to find it isn’t quick.

      10. But you can easily make an accusation that I called you that and I am supposed to believe you?
