The Bible, Repentance & Antisemitism

Not very long ago, I have had dealings with someone who makes it their life’s goal to sow seeds of doubt about Bible translations. This is not the first time I have encountered this person who also happens to believe that repentance is no longer necessary. During this most recent encounter however, a deeper problem has surfaced. It appears the same person is propagating a deeply erroneous personal doctrine against Israel, claiming that the Israel of today is NOT the Israel of God. If you or someone you know has contact with this person, BEWARE. Below are the reasons why you should consider cutting ties.

1) The only person who wants to introduce doubt in the Word of God is Satan. Anyone who makes it their mission to make you doubt the Bible is doing the adversary’s bidding.

2) Repentance is not a one-time deal. It is a continual life-long process. Having accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior, our sins are forgiven at the cross but we are still in this body with a natural propensity to sin. Claiming we no longer need to repent is the same as claiming that we no longer sin. The moment we get angry (not the righteous indignation type) we sin. Telling someone something that is not truthful is a sin. Leering at someone is a sin and yes, these are just a few examples of daily and repeated occurrences even for those who claim to know Jesus.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”

1 John 1:8-10

3) Antisemitism is plain and simply hatred towards the Jews, God’s chosen people. God made an everlasting covenant with Israel and He is a God who keeps His word. Anyone who asserts that the nation of Israel of today is not the same of God is clearly asserting something that goes against Scripture.

“Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’

Ezekiel 37:11-14

Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 28 The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.”

Ezekiel 37:26-28

Professing Christians who forward these teachings ARE NOT hearing from the Holy Spirit. No one who claims to be born of the Spirit will blatantly contradict what is revealed.

“Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them. You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned.”

Titus 3:10-11

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

Romans 16:17

Avoiding those who continually promote erroneous claims is part of being spiritually watchful. Constant exposure to someone who promotes false teachings will little by little eat away your faith. In worse cases, you will end up condoning/embracing lies for the sake of friendship. Beware!

  1. Satan thrives on killing, stealing and destroying. We have to remain in the word and keep the faith. Excellent post.

    1. Amen! Thank you and to God be the glory!

  2. Gotta know when to hold em’, know when to fold em’, know when to walk away, and know when to run……

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. AND FROM SUCH PEOPLE TURN AWAY..2 Timothy 3:1-5

    1. Exactly. Someone unfollowed me because I spoke the truth to them.

…having a form of godliness but denying its power… This can be attributed to a lukewarm Christian. – People will support you as long as you don’t go against what they are saying/believe especially if it’s unbiblical. I understand no one likes to be corrected but saying nothing when you know it could potentially lead people astray is one definition of being lukewarm.

      I appreciate the comment brother.

      1. “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me….John 15:18-21
