The Cosmic Battle

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

To The Spirit-filled Christian

He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4), therefore you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength (Philippians 4:13). He will be with you always to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Never will He leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). He will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict (Luke 21:15). Be bold and courageous (Deuteronomy 31:6). For God has not given you a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment (2 Timothy 1:7).

But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved (Hebrews 10:39). You have been given the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you (Luke 10:19). The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). If God is for you, who can be against you (Romans 8:31)?

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:11-13).

A warning to the pseudo Christian

Should you wage war with the forces of darkness, make sure you have the Holy Spirit otherwise you will be beaten like the sons of Sceva (Acts 19:13-16), fighting a battle without power and authority from above. Your intellectual prowess, your carnal knowledge (James 3:15), that which the Creator of ALL things considers as foolishness (1 Corinthians 3:19) and high sounding nonsense (Colossians 2:8) will not help you. You would be wise to trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Pride comes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall (Proverbs 16:18). You WILL be defeated.
