I got this in my inbox this morning since today happens to be my birthday. What exactly did I do today? I woke up, ate breakfast, interacted with my family, went back and forth with someone over refugees (I know this bit right here is quite off), some other things, ate dinner, ate cake and doing this impromptu post.
Am I thankful I made it to another year? Yes I am. Did I need to celebrate it in a spectacular way? Not really. I mean things just have a way of not being the same when you get older. But if you ask me, even an ordinary day is special and a special day can be ordinary.
What I really am truly grateful for is that I am surrounded by the people I love and above all, God loves me.
I also just love what happens to be Bible Gateway’s verse of the day,
“Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.”
Psalm 37:4
