This is not an endorsement of the Prosperity gospel which twists the spiritual and translates it to an abundance in a worldly sense thereby ignoring 1 John 2:16,
“For everything in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–comes not from the Father but from the world.“

You are correct in your explanation of the passage referring to the word abundance. To have an abundance life here on earth is to be very active in God’s will. That would translate to one’s [abundance] treasure in heaven.
