The Meteoric Ambition

Artificial flowers have an allure to them. They can look beautiful for long periods without water.

Every Christian is supposed to be a watchman. Consider this post as a watchman’s warning.

In the age of social media, people can project whatever they want to be seen as to the world. These devices have achieved reducing peoples’ existence with identities fused to a screen. From what I’m seeing, professing Christians are being subjected to manipulation. There are some who are intent to expedite growing their number of followers they would do anything for it employing such thing as flattery and for this, we would be wise to heed Proverbs 29:5,

“Those who flatter their neighbors are spreading nets for their feet.”

The next thing you know, you will find yourself to be one of those who are defending and excusing erroneous doctrines you don’t agree to, simply because you have been ensnared by feigned fellowship. My first encounter witnessing such a scenario in WP dates back to 2017, but they are all over the place! There is a spiritual battle manifesting in the physical realm. No one would eat a poisoned apple if it were too obvious.

“By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.”

2 Peter 2:3

It is a sad phenomenon to witness and I hope people will see it for what it is. This is a general warning but it is specifically geared towards Christians. Not everybody who appears to be an angel of light is an angel and the same can be applied to those who pretend to be your friend. There is something sinister behind those who do this whether purposely or unaware and it is to disarm true believers from forwarding sound biblical doctrine and be entangled in fruitless controversies instead. We must not be ignorant of Satan’s devices.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

1 Peter 5:8

Beware!
