The Perennial Plant

The Chives were planted over 3 years ago. They have not been watered this year at all thanks to OR weather which is plant friendly. Most of the Chives died off last winter. I did clean up the withered parts early this year and it’s good to know even though little to no effort was put in caring for them, I still get to harvest seeds from the ones that remain. Gotta love trusty perennials. The same can be said about Chrysanthemum plants. You only plant them once; they can withstand even the winter and expect beautiful blooms year after year.

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Galatians 6:7-10

  1. A person with the Spirit of God will reap God’s blessings. For the seeds that please the Lord comes from the Holy Spirit. Every other seed brings death because apart from God, who is life, there is only death. The absence of light is darkness. The absence of God in your heart, is darkness in your heart, making one’s seeds dark.
