We were visited by a couple of Jehovah’s Witnesses earlier today. Straight from the JW’s mouth was the denial of the Trinity and she also mentioned their script of 144,000 which was taken out of context from the Book of Revelation. The brief exchange was cordial, but off the bat, any professing believer who denies the Trinity and the deity of Jesus Christ is not a true follower of Jesus Christ (John 8:31b).
A stray cat tagged along. Since the door was open, this cat just walked into our home.
This creature wasn’t skittish at all and acted as if it lived here.
There’s plenty of yarn around so my daughter was savoring the moment with this unexpected visitor.
We don’t know who owns this cat, but he wanted to stay a little while. It lingered in the backyard.
While it is not advisable to argue about theology, it is absolutely vital to be able to ask questions with other professing Christians. Avoiding a debate especially when a situation calls for it is not diplomatic, but rather, running away from the biblical mandate of contending for the faith. Asking questions is the surest way to detect the true believers from the false since a person’s set of beliefs become a driving factor in why people do what they do.
“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. 4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Jude 3-4 NKJV
