I don’t pretend to have a title of a theologian but it should be expected from any believer to have the nature of the deity of Christ correct once they have been in the faith for quite some time. If you live with someone for several months, years, decades, it’s only common to at least know about the basic qualities of that person. How can one preach Jesus- the One who can save, if people preach a different Jesus who is not God?
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.”
Jude 24-25
to God our Savior – Jesus’ sole purpose is to redeem mankind and make a way to reconcile us to Himself to be in communion with the Father. He has the title of the Savior, Christ, Messiah, and at the same time the passage tells us that God is our Savior.
“God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins…”
Hebrews 1:1-3
“Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.” – John 17:5
“You are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the LORD, And there is no savior besides Me.” – Isaiah 43:10-11
“I am the LORD, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to graven images.” – Isaiah 42:8
If there was no other before Him and none after, and Jesus says in John 17:5 that He shared that same glory, it means they are One and the same God.
Only God can save. God ceases to be God when we try to fit him into our limited and oftentimes faulty understanding of His nature. To question the nature of the deity of Jesus and the Trinity also brings into question the validity of the presence of His Holy Spirit indwelling every single believer out there- His omnipresence, something that is hard for us to fully grasp.
God is the discerner of motives and I am not making myself to be someone’s conscience but once a person preaches Jesus is not God, that person IS promoting falsehood.
I agree with you and I would like to add that Jesus said about getting who He is correctly or else one cannot receive the gift of eternal life.

Thank You J. In this manner we are to heed to Paul’s admonition to Timothy in opposing false teachers in 1 Timothy 1, expressly in verses 6 and 7, not particularly about the deity of Christ but anything that contradicts what is revealed.
I’m sure some do share Jesus with a pure motive, I really do not doubt this, but when pressed on specifics, we are to pay careful attention.
Once upon a time in my life thinking about the Trinity was confusing to me. Its amazing how a close personal relationship with my savior and residing in his word has opened my eyes. I thank Him everyday. Im still learning from Him…when im still and listen. Thank you for this post and God bless.
Thank you for sharing that Jene. He revealed Himself in that triune nature (Matthew 3:13-17 – all three are present at the same time, John 1:14, and the instance in Acts 5:3-4 refers to the Holy Spirit as God) and we actively have His Holy Spirit dwelling in us to aid us in trying to live a life that is pleasing to Him and also being able to grow in knowledge of the truth where we’re all a working progress. It is definitely one of those mysteries that make God who He is.
