Waiting For The Last Leaf

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot…”

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

The last sunflower is spent and the birds came by to enjoy the seeds earlier. Most of the sunflowers have already been uprooted a few weeks ago and thrown by the corner, where the pile of leaves are currently amassing. The backyard is a mess.

The screen door is adding the grid texture to the picture. Been meaning to take a footage of a brown creeper, but they easily fly away. Maybe next time. This one came by yesterday along with two other species, Dark-eyed Junco and Song Sparrow.

I haven’t dealt with the leaves yet since I am waiting for the last leaf to fall which won’t be too long from now, but can you believe that a messy yard can actually be a ground for a demerit in someone’s social credit score in China?

I don’t mean to be a sensationalist, but prepare yourself since it will only be a matter of time that this can/will be our reality. It is a godless regime’s way of getting people to behave and be “moral” in big government’s standards. The government has no regard for God because they want to be your god, but little birdie, do not worry. If God is for us, who can be against us?

This Dark-eyed Junco came along with a few of its buddies yesterday and today.

I have no idea if the Song Sparrow that came yesterday is the same one that came today.

“The LORD is on my side; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Psalm 118:6
