Being “not of the world” does not mean a hands-off approach on things that clearly affect our physical well-being. This would be clear negligence on our part. Part of the deception is that some professing Christians do not mind leaving all the decisions to be made by those with shifting standards. They seem to be convinced that any semblance of a Christian getting involved in matters outside of faith is an automatic abandonment of their allegiance to Jesus Christ. To be a light means your faith encompasses every area of life. This will be evident in how we view things. Ironically, these very same professing Christians support policies that clearly go against Scripture; Pay close attention to this. Believe it or not, it counts as fruit (Matthew 7:15-20). To be clear, I’m not talking about going back to dietary laws in this regard, but the one about abandoning sound doctrine to fit in with the social agenda.

Food happens to be an area where people are “playing God.”
