Earlier, we were wondering what all the commotion was about on the main road with all the police sirens and beeping sounds. We were oblivious of the parade that the town had planned for today.
Aside from the floats, horses and the street-dancing, what caught my attention was the little girl in this white ballerina outfit, running free.
We ought to thank God and count our blessings that we still have the freedom to do these things, while in godless and oppressive regions of the world, they are forcing people against their will to get inoculated.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
2 Corinthians 3:17
As followers of Jesus Christ, we know time is closing in on us. The Written Word warned us of coming persecutions and tribulations,
“Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rise against their parents and have them put to death. 22You will be hated by everyone because of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.”
Matthew 10:21-22
However, we are not left to ourselves…
“If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”
John 14:15-18
Because His Spirit lives in us, we can do ALL things through His empowerment. This empowerment includes having authority over spiritual forces that assault us (Luke 10:19-20).
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
By all, this means surmounting whatever obstacle there is that gets in the way of our faith walk.
