Yesterday & Today

Light Pink Bachelor Button

Yay! A few Cornflowers (Bachelor Buttons) finally started to bloom today! It wasn’t too long ago when a squirrel buried them up where I literally had to find the seedlings carefully, hoping the roots were intact and thankfully they were to make it to this flowering stage.

Today

I was especially looking forward to this one. This would be the first year Godwilling that I’d be able to harvest from this Black Ball variety. When it matures, it would turn into a beautiful aubergine color. I also planted some of the regular blue variety, but I sowed more pinks. The light pink on top was from some seeds I harvested back in 2019.

Yesterday

It was overcast and the temperature is what we would expect during this time of year. We headed to the park by the capitol where it is arrayed in roses and coneflowers.

Both bumblebee and honeybee stopped by for the sweet stuff.

There are different varieties of flowers. Some have thorns and some have none. Some are edible and some are poisonous. Not all things that look and seem beautiful is harmless. As a matter of fact, the most harmful thing can come in a beautiful façade that no one would ever suspect (2 Corinthians 11:12-14). Some of us are being more careful around a bee than being exposed to false doctrine.

If you know someone who promotes something you know to be false, when you refuse to rebuke a false teacher (privately or publicly), you are tolerating the spirit of Jezebel. This is highly offensive to the Lord since He specifically mentioned it (Revelation 2:20). According to the passage below, these types love to use flattery (Proverbs 29:5) to deceive the unsuspecting.

“I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.”

Romans 16:17-18

Not everyone who claims to be Christian is one and certainly, not everyone who pretends to be your friend is your friend. Do not be deceived.
