Orange Sunday

The weather has been pretty miserable recently, which made it perfect to just lounge cozily and lazily with a fleece blanket. At least the sun decided to come out today. The most prevalent color today was orange.

Does anyone know what this tree is called? The way the fruit hangs remind me of Christmas ornaments. Even the birds don’t go around much when it’s rainy outside. I didn’t even hear them yesterday. It appears they like dry and sunny days just as much as we do.

Some of my favorite shades of orange can be seen on this Robin’s plumage—Rust orange and Burnt sienna.

And lastly the remnant Amber and yellow orange leaves, clinging tightly to the tree, even as the season demands that they are meant to fall.

“Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,
Who made heaven and earth,
The sea, and all that is in them;
Who keeps truth forever,
Who executes justice for the oppressed,
Who gives food to the hungry.
The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners.”

Psalm 146:5-7

Speaking of food to the hungry, even with reports of inflation and supply chain issues, it’s a blessing to see that the grocery store we go to is currently having a special on milk for 47 cents for half a gallon. I haven’t seen milk go that low until today.
