The Coming Spiritual Summer

We went to visit Detroit Lake dam yesterday. My son asked my husband a question about what would happen if the dam broke. Naturally, the unrestrained flow of force would destroy everything in its path just like the destruction caused by all the flooding that is currently happening in other parts of the world. In the same way, when the restrainer is taken out of the way, all hell would break loose (2 Thessalonians 2:6-7).

The AC is coming!

It’s summertime and being that it gets pretty hot, we are left with no choice but to turn on the AC. How we all hate feeling so sticky from the heat and humidity. Imagine being in constant heat for eternity. However, I don’t want to talk at length about the AC that relieves us from the heat of the beating sun but the other one that stands for Antichrist. Today’s message at church was about Daniel’s end time dream concerning the Antichrist (Daniel 8). What the pastor really wanted to impart (since he repeated it nearly ten times during the sermon) was this,

“All bad things will come to an end. Therefore, endure.”

Peace or no peace

Christians were curious about what was on Trump’s peace deal whether a treaty was going to be in it. The proposal boasts of an optimistic vision geared toward the Palestinians. It is being rolled out gradually, separately addressing the parties involved and this means this will take some time. There was no mention of a specific 7-year deal on it, even though the timeframe of implementation for its projected goals is within 10 years.

Since the plan is being set on the table by the Trump Administration (delegated to Kushner) who happened to have accomplished something no one in history has ever done before regarding pivotal events with biblical significance concerning Israel, things as we can see are different. This softening strategy addressing the key players separately, makes for a sure groundwork for a deal too good to refuse for the parties involved where people have time to think. As tensions continue to escalate in the region, who would want to turn down a plan laying out peace and prosperity living under desperate conditions such as constantly being in the midst of war with Israel and poverty? The time calls for the emergence of the Antichrist who will make things happen.

The Bible tells us that Apostasy precedes the coming of the Antichrist in the sequence of events as found in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition.” Apostasy is nearly complete grabbing hold of most professing Christian denominations being on board with the LGBT agenda. The Catholic denomination alone which has 1.2 billion adherents, are automatically LGBT affirming since the Vatican allows closeted homosexuals to continue serving as priests. This agenda (encompassed in 2 Thessalonians 2:10) can directly be tied to what Jesus said in Luke 17:26-29, comparing the end times to the days of Noah and Lot where God’s judgment was administered because of rampant wickedness.

“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

To some, salvation through Jesus Christ may sound like a fairy tale complete with a happily ever after. They’re right about the happily ever after part. The fairy tale part on this scoffing sentiment though, is a lie coming from the pits of hell. Don’t miss your eternal happily ever after simply because it’s more intellectually/socially acceptable to hate God than to live for Him.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is a glorious future event and Christians especially look forward to the hope of the new Heaven and new Earth as promised in Revelation 21:1-8. No sin can enter this place and therefore, we must be cleansed (Titus 2:14, 1 Corinthians 6:9) and clothed with the righteousness of Christ (Romans 13:1, 1 John 1:7).

God’s wrath during the reign of the Antichrist (Revelation 13, Revelation 6, 8-9, 11) is what awaits those who choose to reject His free gift of salvation, but it doesn’t have to be that way for anyone. The only way any person can resist the Antichrist’s demand for compliance is if one has the Holy Spirit. May the Lord give you the faith to choose eternal life today.
