Debunking Regina Caeli

If you’re wondering what Regina Caeli means, I’ll save you the few seconds from having to google it; it means Queen of Heaven. Today’s verse of the day makes a direct hit at Catholicism’s age old fallacy that Mary is a mediatrix.

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.

1 Timothy 2:5-6

That’s right. ONE mediator. Mary is no mediatrix. Any extra-biblical reference to this in the Vatican Council II contradict what was already revealed in Scripture. It is plain and simply demonic (1 Timothy 4:1-3) and intent to deceive people (2 Corinthians 4:4).

There are no references in the New Testament that speaks about Mary ascending to heaven and neither was she exalted by Jesus as the “Queen of the Universe.” On the contrary, Luke 11:27-28 shows us a different scenario,

As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.”

28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.

Jesus corrected the woman not to degrade Mary, the vessel by which He came into the world, but rather to emphasize that she is equal to everyone who chooses to obey and do God’s will.

“O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

This is an invocation included in the Rosary. There is no reference in the Bible that Mary was born sinless. Mary had human parents. Mary conceived Jesus without sin. It does not mean she herself was stripped of original sin. Again, this invocation does not align with what Jesus prescribed in John 14: 13-14,

“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

There are references to a pagan deity which bears the title Catholics ascribe to Mary which is “Queen of Heaven” in Jeremiah 44:16-18,

“We will not listen to the message you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord! We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our ancestors, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm. But ever since we stopped burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have had nothing and have been perishing by sword and famine.”

Do not be fooled by the Catholic’s explanation that her title as Queen of Heaven does not in any way usurp Jesus Christ. In the same manner, Catholics can rationalize there’s nothing wrong with calling the pope and priests ‘Father’ when it directly contradicts Matthew 23:9, and worse of all, bowing to idols which is a direct contradiction to Deuteronomy 4:15-16 and Exodus 20:4, “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.”

in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below – This includes Mary, the baby Jesus, the saints and every created thing that is carved and worshiped in place of God.

“But to the wicked person, God says: “What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips? You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.

Psalm 50:16-17

I know. Very hard words to swallow, but the verses above are not my words. If you are disillusioned with Catholicism and thinking of apostatizing from Christianity, do not count yourself out as a true apostate yet. It turns out that in Catholicism’s Catechism, it rejects John 14:6. Doing so practically disqualifies the church’s claim to legitimate Christianity. Please take the time to read Revelation 17. You had an outward claim to Christianity but the church itself does not heed to Jesus’ teachings. What you experienced was pseudo-Christianity. You are on the right track to desire to leave the Roman Catholic Church. That is God’s will for you.

‘Come out of her, my people,’
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues”

Revelation 18:4

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

John 4:23

If you prayed to God to show you the truth, you are not reading this out of pure coincidence.

  1. I know there are born again Christians in the Catholic church, but I can’t say I understand how they can stay there. 🙁

    1. Yes. I experienced that myself. I had given my life to Christ in 2001 and lingered in Catholicism a few more years before I finally left. God allows it for a time. It is a gradual removal of spiritual scales of deception that has a strong grip – since infancy for some.
