When we talk about imagination, it is common knowledge something is made up. Speaking of imagining, let’s examine the first few words of the song, “Imagine”
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
I’m not going to go any further because I would then be promoting the anthem for the new world order. When someone says to you, “It’s only a figment of your imagination,” it is to disregard an idea. Well, in this case, the songwriter is acknowledging the existence of heaven and hell because he is asking the listener to pretend neither heaven nor hell exists.
According to God’s Word, Heaven does exist and so does hell. Ooooh! That’s too taboo! I just said it. HELL. I used to be scared at the thought of this word, but not anymore. Jesus paid the price with His life to ensure that none of us would have to go down there. It really wasn’t meant for us in the first place.
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”
But why do people go there? People end up there because like Satan, they are puffed up with pride. Whenever people are prideful, they mirror Satan. When they refuse God’s mercy, they have made their choice and God respects choice (John 6:28-29).
What about heaven?
“Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” – He’s not man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19).
“I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'”
“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”
While there’s time, you can opt out of hell. And the good news? The one-way ticket to heaven is free! You just have to claim it.
