Stay Blessed & Grounded

Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”

41 And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

Luke 10:38-42 NKJV

This is not a diss on Martha, but this passage shows us that people can appear to be “loving” and serving God without hearing and keeping His Word. This is why we have churches who put the world and its nonstandard above God’s and New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) self-appointed “prophets”. This passage also shows how important it is to Jesus that we heed to His Word (v.42).

Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. 48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.

Luke 6:46-48 NIV

“And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!”

28 But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

Luke 11:27-28 NKJV

The world is only getting worse by the day. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but revival is nothing but a dream apart from the truth. This is why the church is in deep apostasy. Getting people saved which is what looks to be the major goal of most Revival movements seem to be a thing, but major revival happens during the coming “Great Tribulation” (Revelation 7:9-17) and it will cost people their lives. As a follower of Jesus Christ, while the enemy continues to destroy the church, the only way to stay grounded is to cling to the truth. You won’t get it from anywhere else, but from Scripture.
