A Different Kind of “Shock”

We recently find ourselves being saturated with rumorsof war that is, but that’s not the most threatening thing. It’s what’s happening behind closed doors. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’m noticing more and more imported products being carried at the Dollar Tree. My husband and I go there for a specific brand of pecan shortbread cookies made here in the US. It has been awhile since we last saw those on the shelves. I’m hoping the cookie company did not go out of business because of inflation caused by this administration’s policies.

It’s possible that to keep the prices at just a buck instead of raise their trademark of everything being a dollar, some domestic products are being replaced.

*Update as of 1.31.22: It is now officially the Dollar Twenty Five Tree, 25% price hike per item.*

Below are two of their most recent offerings. It’s coming from Ukraine where rumors of war happen to be brewing.

It’s interesting they call it Choco Shocks. If you ever had Kinder Bueno, this tastes similar. The latter tastes better in my opinion since it is coated in Milk Chocolate and this one is made with dark chocolate.

Jesus mentioned  in Matthew 24:6,

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.”

Wars and rumors of wars is to be expected so worrying about it won’t do one any good.
