Oregon is Oregon. It rains nonstop around this time. There are some bright and sunny days here and there, so when it’s beautiful out, I take as many pictures as I can to make up for wet and dreary days like today. Maybe the sun will come out by the end of the day, hopefully.
As parents, our first and foremost concern is for the spiritual well-being of our children. We are to mirror God’s desire in Malachi 2:15,
“And what does the One seek?
A godly offspring.”
While the choice rests on each individual to make, we are to make intercessions for our children like Job did (Job 1:5). If you are not doing this already, now is the time (more than ever) to incorporate and claim this promise in your prayer,
“As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.”
Isaiah 59:21
Praying this aligns to God’s will here,
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time”

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus – Jesus gave us His model prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 which is known in Catholicism as the Lord’s Prayer. It is a layout of how our prayers should be fashioned and not to be vainly repeated (Matthew 6:7). He does not detail praying to Mary or to any saints anywhere in Scripture. He taught to pray to the Father in His name (John 14:13). He is the one and only Mediator as Scripture clearly states, “No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
If you happen to be a parent who worries on whether your children are saved and will be part of the gathering at the time of the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18), stop worrying and start praying, surrendered to His appointed time.
