The Rightward Vertical Shift

Is Heaven your destination? It will be for the one who repents (Luke 15:7, John 14:3).

“Therefore,” declares the Lord, “I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from me. 31 Yes,” declares the Lord, “I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, ‘The Lord declares.’ 32 Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” declares the Lord. “They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least,” declares the Lord.”

Jeremiah 23:30-32

Scripture is replete with dire warnings to those who misuse God’s Word and make it into an object of mockery among the unbelievers because of impure motives (Greed/Health & Wealth). We would be wise to heed. The state of confusion that the body of Christ finds itself in is because of people who drag Christianity with their lies.

“From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded;”

Luke 12:48b

The paraphrase that is equivalent to the verse above is this – With great influence comes great responsibility. Some don’t take the reality of this warning because we always think we have all the time in the world to make things right until something happens. My friend’s dad passed away at 12 AM today. We do not hold the hourglass of our lives. The time we are given is known only to God.

I had an independent hosted blog since around 2008. I always believed the person who was meant to read my stuff would somehow stumble upon it. Without aggressive manipulation on my part since I have been on WP.com during the Summer of 2016, God has allowed some to follow me. I thank you all for taking the time to allow me into your lives. It was mainly created as a journal entry. As years passed by, it has evolved into more of a spiritual journey blog.

According to the numbers, I’m far from being an influencer. The funny thing is that those who are deemed to be true influencers with thousands upon thousands of following are the ones being censored. They did so with the former president. They are doing it to sound pastors. If the world deems you to be a nothing, you’re not considered a threat. Another possibility which is bad is that you’re not considered a threat by the enemy when you play by his rules. As a matter of fact, he makes sure to make their influence greater. Even though he is not omniscient like God, the adversary knows who are being used by him. To the Christian, have you asked yourself who you’re really working for?

During the time of the Babylonian captivity, the influential, the royalty and the rich were taken, but the poorest/untouchables were left to tend to property that were not theirs.

On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, an official of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. 9 He set fire to the temple of the Lord, the royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down. 10 The whole Babylonian army under the commander of the imperial guard broke down the walls around Jerusalem. 11 Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard carried into exile the people who remained in the city, along with the rest of the populace and those who had deserted to the king of Babylon. 12 But the commander left behind some of the poorest people of the land to work the vineyards and fields.

2 Kings 25:8-12

Everyone always wants to race to the top. The passage above shows us it turned out better for those who were in the lowly place. Even the Word of God reminds us in Matthew 23:12,

“For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

I will continue to keep this blog until the time happens that they mandate truth be wiped out from this platform. If you see me less and less here, the other blog JohnThreeXVI I’m running will have daily content. It was started this month. The new blog is Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone) for this very reason,

“He must increase, but I must decrease.”

John 3:30

I hope you will join me on this journey.
