Out, About & All That Matters

The sun decided to come out for a few hours today and we tried to go to the mountain to see some snow… nada. If it did snow, the constant rain probably melted it away. We ended up going to a small park in Scotts Mills.

Along the way, we passed through a road with high water.

The constant rain definitely did its thing here. Rainfall (speaking of an extreme one that causes flooding) has been a thing all across the globe recently. My mother’s house in the tropics got flooded just some days ago. It’s such bad timing for everyone going through this at this time of the year. Though we see destruction all around us, it becomes a reminder that this fallen world is on its way to renewalwhen Jesus comes back to make all things new and reign with righteousness.

On the way home, darkness creeps in again. And as of right now, you can’t tell the difference between 5 PM and 5 AM when you go outside. It was good to be able to enjoy the light even just for a moment.

Your word is a lamp for my feet,
    a light on my path.
106 I have taken an oath and confirmed it,
    that I will follow your righteous laws.
107 I have suffered much;
    preserve my life, Lord, according to your word.
108 Accept, Lord, the willing praise of my mouth,
    and teach me your laws.
109 Though I constantly take my life in my hands,
    I will not forget your law.
110 The wicked have set a snare for me,
    but I have not strayed from your precepts.
111 Your statutes are my heritage forever;
    they are the joy of my heart.
112 My heart is set on keeping your decrees
    to the very end.

Psalm 119:105-112

“And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are faithful and true.”

Revelation 21:5
