A Wren’s Medley

Brightness and blue skies are hard to come by nowadays and when it does, this Bewick’s wren takes the opportunity to sing a medley.

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”

Ephesians 5:8-11 NIV

Within minutes, a tint of gloom covers the sky. Some people are intent to hear.

However, what’s considered pleasant by some is deemed offensive by others.

This is what the LORD says:

“Stand at the crossroads and look;
    ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
    and you will find rest for your souls.
    But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’”

Jeremiah 6:16 NIV

Some retort, “How can a loving God send people to hell?” This coming from those who would not give a rat’s behind on how they are making life hell here on earth for others.

When the singing stops by popular demand, it may be too late.

“The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign LORD,
    “when I will send a famine through the land—
not a famine of food or a thirst for water,
    but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.

Amos 8:11 NIV
