When Vain Philosophy Literally Burns

Would you in your right mind walk barefoot in these? Do you have the “Power Within”?

Can a man walk on burning coals without scorching his feet?

Proverbs 6:28

Is it truly mind over matter?  To paraphrase Solomon’s proverb, when we play with fire, logic tells us we will get burned.

Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.

Colossians 2:8 NLT

The Bible clearly warns us to stay away from vain philosophy and Tony Robbins is feeding his sheeple with sheer delusion. Millions of people are more receptive to this kind of teaching rather than Biblical Truth. If they don’t get saved, even practicing walking on coals here on earth is not enough preparation for what truly awaits them…

Most Christians try to steer clear from what they dub as “Fire & Brimstone” preaching. In reality, that is preaching the gospel in its totality, and of course we are to do it with grace. If you withhold the part about hell and why people end up down there, it is only giving them half of the whole story. In most cases, when someone warns us about something, it is usually with the very intent of keeping us from what is potentially harmful. It is not a matter of insensitivity. Jesus himself explicitly reminds us in Mark 9:48,

where“‘the worms that eat them do not die,
and the fire is not quenched.’[d]”

Let us all labor to reach those souls crying out for deliverance. As believers in Christ, we are to be bold and proclaim that the void they’re so desperately trying to fill (even to the point of having to walk on fiery hot coals!) can only be filled by having a personal relationship with JESUS CHRIST.
