Forty One

¹⁷Though the fig tree does not bud
    and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
    and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
    and no cattle in the stalls,
¹⁸ yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
    I will be joyful in God my Savior.

¹⁹ The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
    he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,

Today happens to be my 41st birthday.

Today’s verse of the day:

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

Psalm 37:4

Below is what came in the Chinese cookie. In my entire lifetime, this is one of the few messages in the cookie I’ve gotten which mentioned God in it and no, I am not promoting the ‘fortune’ cookie. I’ve gotten blank ones before.

This would translate to Psalm 32:8, one of my all-time favorite verses,

“I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will give you counsel and watch over you.”
